Wide Gap Between Front Teeth\Dental Implants\Unrealistic Appearance of Tooth Model

1 min read

Male, 30 years old He sought care for a congenitally wide gap between his upper front teeth. While walking along the hospital corridor, he happened to pause outside the dental implant clinic. The implant dentist told him that his condition was suitable for dental implants. Following the implant dentist’s advice, he first went to the oral surgery department to have his upper front teeth extracted. The oral surgeon was unwilling to extract the teeth, so the implant dentist offered to perform the extraction himself. After the front teeth were removed, a model for the implants was prepared. During the try-in of the model, the patient found the appearance jarring and clearly recognizable as false teeth, especially in the prominent front tooth position. He felt this was unacceptable.
